Job Description:

Early Years Apprentice – £21,408 a Year – Leeds

Location: Headingley, Leeds (LS6)
Wage: £21,408 per year (equivalent to £13.23 an hour on a 5-day working pattern) — well above the apprentice minimum wage
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, with the option of a 4-day or 5-day working week
Training: Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship

Love working with children? This is your chance to train as an Early Years Educator while earning a great wage from day one. You'll work alongside qualified practitioners in a friendly, supportive nursery setting, building real hands-on skills as you study towards your Level 3 qualification.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support children's development in line with the EYFS

  • Help carry out observations and maintain learning records

  • Assist with daily routines, activities and smooth transitions

  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and parents

  • Begin developing key-worker skills as part of your training

What we're looking for:

  • Passion for early years education

  • A nurturing, team-first attitude

  • Commitment to completing your Level 3 qualification

  • Understanding of safeguarding (full training given)

  • Previous experience with children is a bonus, not a requirement

Desirable (not essential):

  • GCSE English (grade C/4+)

  • GCSE Maths (grade C/4+)

  • Other relevant qualifications or experience welcomed — your apprenticeship can be tailored around what you already know
