BAYtek is a Canon Platinum Partner, leaders in latest technology AI driven digital office equipment. Having recently won several tenders and now supporting 1700 contracts across the Southwest we are again expanding our service department.

The successful applicant will learn and develop all the skills required to install, maintain and support a broad range of connected MFDs. Initially workshop based among a friendly team of technicians, progressing towards remote diagnostic support and ultimately a career in field service support.

All training will be provided to the highest industry standard either in-house or via accredited manufacture courses. The successful applicant must be interested in ICT, connected peripherals, fault finding and possess a basic grasp of electro-mechanical knowledge.

Skills required

Understanding of basic IT terminolgy and device connectivity ie, MS Windows, Cat5 / 6 network

An appreciation of and interest in electro-mechanical systems.

Ability to read and follow safety instructions and technical manuals with logical approach to fault finding.

Use of basic hand tools ie, screwdriver, test equipment

Qualifications required

Maths and English GCSE 4+

ICT, electrical or mechanical basics preferred but not essential.

Future prospects

Beyond the apprenticeship period we are looking for a full time field service technician. This position will start a career in ICT field service. A Field Service Technician with progression potential into Senior Technician or Product Technical Specialist.
